MMS QUALITY

ONE SITE ON THE INTERNET STATES THAT THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF SODIUM CHLORITE, INDUSTRIAL GRADE, TECH GRADE, AND USP GRADE, AND THE ONLY ONE THAT IS SAFE FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. IS USP GRADE IS THIS TRUE,IF SO HOW DO I KNOW WHAT GRADE I WILL GET WHEN ORDERING FROM THE INTERNET? I HAVE COME ACROSSED ONE SITE SELLING TECH GRADE IN MMS. Jim Humble says in his books to use "Technical Grade" sodium chlorite. That is what he uses and has produced his cures and that is what all the reputable MMS vendors I know are using to make their MMS. I have not seen other grades available, but I didn't go looking for them either.

I buy it by the drum from a chemical supply house.

I agree with Steve. I've never heard of food or USP grade sodium chlorite.

The MSDS is written up by the manufacturer, and some, such as OxyChem, will give ranges of values for the typical other ingredients that Steve mentions.

The certificate of analysis tells you what is in the particular batch of a chemical based on a lab analysis of that batch. Certificates of analysis are hard to get for sodium chlorite, especially a comprehensive one. Oxychem does a limited one that only tests for those chemicals mentioned by Steve and a few others. Chemicals that are relevant to their main customers I believe.

The only requirement laid down by Jim is that it be "technical grade." At the doses we are talking about, the impurities are insignificant in my opinion and far outweighed by the benefits.

Where do you buy the drum from? I have noticed that most suppliers of drum size CD flakes require that I be a business. I can't find a supplier who will sell retail to an individual.

To buy sodium chlorite by the 100 lbs drum, you want to find a local chemical supply house. If you are in a major metropolitan area it should not be hard to do. You can do google searches. I think some I remember are Brenntag and Univar. Big ones like this have facilities in many major metro areas.
