Does anyone have experience with making CDS with Lime juice?
I have some sodium chlorite saved up but its harder to get food grade HCl here... Does it work or should I just go get some citric acid stocked up?

You can use muriatic acid, water diluted down to 4%, to make CDS. Food grade HCL is not necessary, because only CLO2 gas will be in the CDS water.
