I forgot if this was answered in other posts, but I really didn't know how to search on this topic.
After making my CDS using the Jim Humble method, I noticed something bright red on the bottom of the bottle after I poured most of the CDS out and into smaller containers.
I also noticed something that looked like it was crusty around the bottom along with the red stuff.
I left some CDS in the bottom and swished it around a bit and it all dissolved.
Does anybody know what these things are and is it ok to drink?
I also have a request.
I would really like to get some better equipment to make my CDS.
I followed Michael and Steve talk about their setups, but now that we know more about making CDS, I would like to get something better than the 2oz baby bottle.
The nipple just doesn't seem like it will last long and I would like to know about using the forced air method and the cleansing tower.
Are there stopper tops that can go on a 2oz lab flask?
As always, I am looking forward to any replies.
Thanks,
Joe

Hi Michael
The silicon is stiff enough to push through the nipple.
About the stoppers, it can be done (i did it) but you need to have a small something to catch it and pull it from the other side. the size is a standard size (in Israel we do not have different sizes) it is standard for aquariums and fits perfectly on an aquarium air stone.
With silicon tubing for sure you will be able to seal around glass.
This is the brand we have in Israel -
www.petlanddiscounts.com/detail.asp?product_id=374180
Or this one -
lotsofpets.com/a1123.html
Except that here we have it with a clear color.
Yesterday i did two batches - one with the silicon tube and another with polyethylene, i cant see any difference between the two, except that the silicon is much easier to handle because it is flexible. but i do not have a testing strips to check PPM so i can't tell you if both CDS have the same PPM.
(In Ozone generators home and medical grade they always use Silicon tubing and ceramic air stones)
Here are some pictures of my silicone tube with the ceramic air stone -

NOTE !!!
Please ignore the second hole on the nipple at 47:02, it was made for another video and is not needed in this demonstration. When you reach that scene at 47:02, just skip ahead to 49:02. Thank you.
This is a temporary fix. We will re-edit and re-upload the video soon.

I successfully made a batch of it yesterday. Jim told that one ounce per hour is a dose. Does one drink it straight, or put it in juice or water first?
Also, Jim once said something to the effect, get it in your hair, get it in your eyes -
How does one prepare it before getting any in the eyes. Sounds tricky.

Hi, Charles... I see it's your first post - welcome to the forum!
One ounce? I don't think so. Yikes. It depends on how strong your CDS is, of course, but usually we take 1mL in an ounce of water (an ounce would be 30x that). Some of the stronger CDS would be .5mL in an ounce or two of water.

so i have tried to order Air Diffusers from Aquatic-Eco, it cost 1.56 $
Guess how much they want for delivery to Israel......... 26$
I called them and ask why , they say they send it in a package and the minimum is 26 $
Why a package for something so small? can't they put it in an envelope and send it for 5 dollars or less ?
Sometimes Americans can be so....
Anyway, if someone is ordering those and is willing to buy 1 or 2 for me and send it to me in a small envelope (with nylon bubbles inside the envelope) i will send you the money for that that will be great.
Thanks
Nir

Charlotte, I am very impressed - for a number of reasons - My generator bottle has never been clear, so I think this process with your pictures has effectively used all the gasses - also, what I see over time is that the 3 bottles are much closer in color, which means their dosing is going to be more similar! Thank you so much for the pictures, the timing and the measurements!

Would an aerator on the reaction air supply hose be an improvement?

"I used 100ml of activated MMS (50ml+50ml) in the generator bottle and 300ml/bottle x 3 for a total of 900ml of distilled water in the receptor bottles. That is a ratio of 1:9."
My question:
Aren't past ratios of MMS referred to with only the MMS amount and not the combined MMS + CA amount?
If so, then wouldn't the ratio be: 50:900 or 1:18?
Thank you,
Joe

Actually, Jemco, yes, you are correct about the way we have talked about it in the past - as an example, with Jim's initial protocol, it was 1 oz of MMS, 1 oz of CA and 8 oz of water, and we called it 1:8. So this would be (using old speak) 1:18.
This is a much more effective use of the MMS mix, IMHO, and with minimal dilution (extra water) could easily become the "standard" of 1mL per 3 drop dose equivalent. Don't ask me, I've already emailed my "experts" with the question
